Dr Fierdoz Omar
Dr Fierdoz Omar has recently joined PathCare as consultant Chemical Pathologist. She obtained her MBChB at Stellenbosch University in 1998 and completed her postgraduate studies in Chemical Pathology at the University of Cape Town in 2009. Between 2009 and 2017, she was jointly employed, with the University of Cape Town (UCT) and the National Health Laboratory Service, as a consultant Chemical Pathologist at Groote Schuur Hospital/Red Cross Childrens’ Hospital, where she contributed to the clinical service as well as undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. Fierdoz remains involved in teaching as an honorary Senior lecturer within the Division of Chemical Pathology at UCT. Her current interests include general chemical pathology, molecular diagnostics and quality assurance.
