Dr Heidi Orth joined PathCare in October 2014.
Heidi completed her under-graduate medical studies at Stellenbosch University in 1994. After completion of her internship she worked as a general medical practitioner before specialising in Medical Microbiology at Stellenbosch University. She obtained her M.Med (Microbiol. Path) in 2001. Heidi worked as a consultant at the division of Medical Microbiology, Tygerberg Hospital and the National Health Laboratory Service for 13 years.
Heidi has a special interest in Infectious diseases, extending to the laboratory diagnosis of bacterial infections and antimicrobial susceptibility testing and resistance mechanisms.
