Dr Janami Steenkamp

Dr Janami Steenkamp completed her under-graduate medical studies at Stellenbosch University in 2003 and her internship and community service at Helderberg Hospital, Somerset West.
Thereafter, Janami worked as a medical officer in South Africa and at the St Georges Hospital Medical School, United Kingdom.
She specialised as a haematologist and successfully completed the post-graduate Fellowship of the College of Pathologists of South Africa [FC Path (SA)] in May 2013. She joined PathCare in September 2014.
Dr Steenkamp has a particular interest in flow cytometry, myelodysplastic syndromes and myeloproliferative neoplasms.
She works closely with the Netcare Kuilsriver Bone Marrow Transplant Unit and Mediclinic Vergelegen Hospital, Somerset West.
