John Stanfliet completed his undergraduate medical degree in 1995 at the University of Cape Town, where he obtained a distinction in the preclinical examinations. He performed his internship at Groote Schuur Hospital. Thereafter, he spent several years working as a Medical Officer and General Practitioner in South Africa, the United Kingdom and Australia before completing his post graduate studies at UCT. John worked for the National Health Laboratory Service at King Edward VIII Hospital in Durban before joining Pathcare as a Chemical Pathologist in 2014. John has several publications and presentations to his name, and his interests include the diagnostic utility of laboratory tests, lipids, inborn errors of metabolism and toxicology.
