Dr Karen Mostert is a chemical pathologist with 24 years of pathology experience.

She obtained her MBChB degree in 1990 (University of Pretoria) and FCPath (Chempath) degree from the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa in 1998.
She joined Vermaak and Partners laboratory in 2000 and Pathcare in 2016.
She has a keen interest in laboratory Quality management, point of care testing and utilisation of laboratory data to optimise value based care.
Special clinical interests include markers of myocardial injury and endocrinology.

She currently serves as Chief Operating Officer for the Pathcare Northern Region
