Dr Leocardea Schroeter is a general surgical pathologist. With 22 years of pathology experience, she has committed her career to understanding diseases at cellular level and making a difference in patient care and treatment. The fascinating world of pathology has intrigued her since the early years of her medical studies at the University of the Free State (1992-1998).
She pursued her post graduate studies in Anatomical Pathology at the University of Stellenbosch (2002- 2007) and continued to work in the academic environment as a consultant (2008-2013).
Working close with clinicians and actively engaging in clinicopathological meetings provided her with vital experience in interdisciplinary teamwork, case presentations and treatment plan contribution. In 2014, she joined a private laboratory in Nelspruit until 2023.re and treatment. The fascinating world of pathology has intrigued her since the early years of her medical studies at the University of the Free State (1992-1998).
