Dr Marita van Leeuwen completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Pretoria in 1998. She did her community service at Tembisa hospital in Gauteng and later enrolled as a registrar at the University of Pretoria, where she qualified as a Chemical Pathologist in 2007. She joined PathCare in 2014.
Dr van Leeuwen specialises in allergy and endocrinology, and she has a particular interest in insulin resistance and obesity.
