Sabeehah completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Pretoria in 2010. She joined the Division of Virology at the University of the Free State for postgraduate studies in 2014 and qualified as a clinical virologist at the end of 2017. She joined the PathCare family in May 2022, after being a consultant pathologist at NHLS Unitas in Bloemfontein for 4 years.

Sabeehah is based in Gauteng and retains an affiliation with the University of the Free State. Her research interests include hepatitis viruses and emerging infectious diseases.
