Prof Prashini Moodley joined PathCare as a clinical microbiologist in July 2016, and is honorary professor at UKZN.
She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Natal Medical School in 1991, followed by a  MMed in Medical Microbiology in 1998 and a PhD in 2002.
Prashini’s research expertise is in the fields of sexually transmitted infections, tuberculosis and mechanisms of antimicrobial resistance.
She has a special interest in hospital outbreak control and implementation of antimicrobial stewardship programmes.
