Contract Position: Helpdesk Operator – N1 City, Cape Town

PathCare is a partnership of pathologists in private practice across South Africa that has been assisting doctors and healthcare professionals determine and confirm diagnoses since 1923. We are registered with the HPCSA (Health Professions Council of South Africa) and all our laboratories are SANAS accredited.

Twelve-month contract opportunities exist for Helpdesk Operators to join the team at our N1 City branch in Cape Town. We are seeking individuals who display a high level of ethics and integrity while consistently aligning with the PathCare values.

Key Competency Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric)
Proficiency in literacy, writing and numeracy
Basic computer literacy
Pathology knowledge/experience advantageous
Minimum of 12-24 months experience in a medical customer service environment or in a medically related Call Centre
Client-focused with excellent attention to detail
Display initiative
Ability to problem-solve
Effective communication and interpersonal skills while demonstrating the ability to listen
Ability to work under pressure, independently as well as in a team
Adaptability
Innovative thinking
Calm temperament
A positive attitude & flexible work-style
Must be prepared to work shifts (dayshifts/afternoon shifts/weekends and public holidays)
Must have an acceptable track record/performance rating with regard to the technical and behavioural competencies required to perform in this position
